Printed Perovskite Solar Cells for Large Area User Applications
PERSEUS focuses on advancing renewable energy by developing and scaling perovskite-based solar cells (PSCs), a cutting-edge solar technology known for its low cost, high power-to-weight ratio, and impressive efficiency of 27% at the lab scale. The project tackles key challenges in transitioning PSCs from small-area cells to large-scale modules.
Objectives
Develop and Demonstrate PSC Module Architectures
- Single-junction opaque modules
- Semi-transparent modules
- 4-terminal (4T) perovskite/CIGS
Adapt PSC Solutions for Industry Applications
These module architectures will be applied to various industries, including floating photovoltaics, building-integrated photovoltaics, agriphotovoltaics, and urban photovoltaics.
Address End-User Needs
The PERSEUS project will focus on addressing the diverse needs of end-users, including performance, lifetime, and cost requirements. These tailored solutions will be translated into comprehensive blueprints for multi-stage manufacturing lines, enabling seamless progression toward commercialization.
Consortium
The PERSEUS project started in January 2025 and will run for 3 years, concluding in December 2027. It brings together a diverse consortium of 18 partners from 10 countries: Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Czechia, Portugal, Turkey, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
